Our Pastor, Wesley G. Robinson-McNeese, MD, has headed the New Mission Church of God, Springfield, IL, since its inception in September of 2003. He is an ordained Minister in the Church of God headquartered at Anderson, IN and Executive Assistant to the Dean for Diversity, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. McNeese is an Emergency Physician, and an Associate Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Humanities at SIU, as well as a member of the Board of Governors there.

The Pastor serves as President of the Springfield Ministerial Alliance.

Dr. McNeese is married, and his wife serves as Administrative Assistant for the church. She was formerly LaVern Ollie of Pine Bluff, AR. They have four daughters – Safiya, Omega, Libra and Aziza. Dr. McNeese has four other children – Miguel, Timothy, Deanna and Maya.

A native of East St. Louis, IL, Pastor McNeese served as a Morse Intercept Operator in Vietnam before becoming an Air Force Paramedic. He was Editor of the Crusader, a weekly newspaper in his hometown before attending college.

His undergraduate education was at Anderson University, IN, Illinois State University-Normal and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. His medical training was at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and then a Residency at McGaw Medical Center, Northwestern Medical School, Chicago, IL. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Religion.
